11: God Isn't Outdone In Generosity & Trey QUIT His Job!

Finding Delight and Trust in the Lord

Have you ever had one of those moments where everything just seems to come together, and you feel an overwhelming sense of clarity and peace? That's exactly what happened to Trey and me recently, and it was all thanks to a few verses from the Bible that resonated deeply with us.

"Find your delight in the Lord. He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him and he will act."

When I read this out loud to Trey, it hit us like a ton of bricks. We both got so emotional, tears welled up in our eyes, and we couldn't help but cry. It felt like the Lord was speaking directly to us at that very moment. We were overcome with a feeling of peace and clarity, something we desperately needed.

The Fear of Security

One of the biggest fears we've been grappling with is security, especially financial security. It's not just about the business, but our personal lives as well. The Lord's message to us wasn't just about meeting our basic needs—like feeding the birds of the air—but something far more significant.

"Trust in me that you may dwell in my land and enjoy security."

That word "enjoy" stood out to us. It signifies abundance. The Lord promises that when we live a life in Christ, we will enjoy abundance in Him. He was telling us to trust in Him and enjoy security, to delight in Him, and He would give us the desires of our hearts.

A Leap of Faith

For the past few years, our biggest dream has been for Trey and me to work alongside each other full-time in our ministry. We've longed for this work to be the way that it provides for our family completely. And here was God, telling us to delight in this work, to delight in Him as our Father and provider. He reassured us that He would meet those desires and more.

The final piece of scripture that resonated with us was:

"Commit your way to the Lord, trust in him and he will act."

This verse spoke so clearly to me, reminding me of the promise I've made to God. It ties back to Matthew 6:33, which says:

"Seek first the kingdom and His righteousness, and all things will be given to you besides."

Commitment and trust are crucial. We're committed to seeking God first, His kingdom, and His righteousness. In doing so, we trust that He will act and provide all things for us.

Trey's Big Decision

With all this clarity and reassurance, Trey made a life-changing decision. He quit his job to join me full-time in our ministry. It was a huge leap of faith, but it felt like the right decision. We've chosen to trust in God's promise of abundance and security, believing that He will act in our lives and provide for us.

God isn't outdone in generosity. When we find our delight in Him, commit our ways to Him, and trust in Him, He acts. He meets our desires and provides beyond our expectations. We're excited to embark on this new journey together, trusting in His provisions and embracing the abundance He promises.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your support and prayers mean the world, and we're excited to see where this path of trust and faith leads us. I hope you enjoy this episode!

Blessings,

Mari
